ABOUT ESTATE Jaime Huayllas cultivates coffee at Montana Alta in Inkawasi. The surrounding forest provides natural shade for the coffee trees, and fallen leaves gradually decompose into organic nutrients for the soil. The SL09 grown in the Cusco region is especially distinctive. Its delicate profile and floral notes are close to Gesha. The SL series of coffee varieties, were originally developed by Scott Laboratories in Kenya in the 1930s.
