ABOUT ESTATE
Rungeto FCS was founded in 1997, and has three washing stations. Over 7,800 smallholder farmers cultivate coffee on the southern slopes of Mount Kenya, where meltwater from the snow-capped peaks provides a clean and reliable source for processing high quality washed coffees. Through sustainable practices, Rungeto FCS continues to enhance coffee quality.
Ripe cherries are sorted before they are pulped. Parchment is fermented overnight and then washed, and dried on raised beds for 8 to 14 days.
