ABOUT ESTATE

Yessica and Diego are siblings from Pittalito, Huila province, and fourth-generation coffee growers in their family. Their great-grandfather made a living growing coffee, and their grandparents and parents inherited and developed this tradition, transitioning to representing the National Coffee Growers Federation of Colombia in sourcing coffee cherries from the local community. Jesica grew up immersed in the family business, until her father moved to Pittalito seeking better opportunities. Jesica was fascinated by her family's history in the Colombian coffee industry and began studying coffee-related courses after graduating high school. After gaining some knowledge, she began teaching at SENA, a coffee education institution in Colombia. She also worked in various positions within the coffee industry, continuously expanding her expertise, covering everything from cupping and logistics to local sourcing. Her passion for coffee eventually inspired her brother Diego's interest, and they quickly introduced him to the world of coffee, co-founding Diwan Coffee. Initially, it was just a hobby in their spare time while working at other coffee companies. Over time, their passion evolved into a business, prompting them to leave their jobs, purchase their own estate, and develop unique processes—Yixuange focuses on fermentation and varietal analysis, while Yeshika excels in cupping, logistics, and sourcing. Today, Diwan Coffee combines its own coffee with the production of partner farmers. In November 2024, they officially launched their brand, and this shipment marks their first export—opening a new chapter in their family heritage, a tradition that has continued for generations. This washed Geisha coffee, when cupped, offers aromas of lily, a bright lemon note, and a sweet peach finish.
